Access
The complex has a basement car park. Vehicle access is via Grattan Place, a small street running -one way-from Argyle Street North to Grattan Street.
Pedestrian access is via three stairwells which connect to the interior garden area of the main buildings.
The entry gate is opened with a remote control that should have been provided when signing a lease or purchasing an apartment.
The exit gate has a pressure sensor in the ground and as you approach the gate it will open. There are safety beams on the entry and exit gates.
If the gates are not closing or opening you may be obstructing these beams.
Using the carpark gates for pedestrian access should be avoided for the following reasons:
- safety
- excess wear on the opening mechanisms
- it can cause the gates to lock open
- the gates are slow to close behind pedestrians allowing strangers to enter the property.
Please watch out for anyone tailgating into the building or gaining access via the carpark gates. We have had several thefts by people accessing this way so being vigilant assists in making the building a safe place to live.
The carpark is fitted with carbon monoxide sensors. If these alarms go off, leave the carpark immediately and notify the Building Manager
Cars parked on Grattan place and blocking the entrance
If an illegally parked car is completely blocking driveway access to the carpark, report it to City of Melbourne – who generally respond quickly
Locating your car park
Carpark numbers can be confusing and the painted numbers on ground level should be ignored and instead follow the small printed grey Lot number found on the wall of each carpark.
If you are unsure of the car space allocated to your unit please check with your managing agent or contact the Building Manager.
Use of car park lots
Items shouldn’t be stored in the carpark area as it encourages rodents, is a fire risk and prevents general cleaning of the carpark. These items also encourage criminals as a large segment of the carpark can be seen from Grattan Place.
